Trustworthy care and team
We want to first establish trust with them. And so I love the opportunity to sit down with these anxious patients to let them kind of get to know me, to get to know the environment they’re in, to get to know our office a little bit better so that they can all of a sudden begin to feel like that they’re kind of at home.
Then we have the opportunity to offer them different options. In the office we have laughing gas is what it’s normally called where we can kind of disassociate the patient away or the person away from the experience, clear up to offering them IV sedation. And the IV sedation is an incredible tool that allows us to help patients relax and to be completely separated from the dental experience.
Something that I have loved to do over these years is to see patients go from someone that is completely scared of the dentist to somebody that trusts the dentist and understands that we’re not here to hurt them. We’re here to make their lives and their smile as beautiful as possible.
